<dt>Climate and Weather</dt><dd>Average temperature: 14.9C (58.8 F). Record high 33.5C (92.3 F); record low: -4 C (24.8 F). Rainfall: 545.4mm. Kyoto, nestled amid rolling mountains, has a relatively mild climate.<br>Winter: Winters can be cold, so dress appropriately. <dt>Currency, Credit card and Bank</dt><dd>Local currency is the Yen (JPY). <dt>Pre-registration to host</dt>
<dd><p><strong>Meeting has successfully finished.</strong></p>

<dt>Facilities fee</dt>
<dd><p>Delegates are requested to contribute a Facilities fee of  JPY 50,000 (approximately US$500).<br>
Document handling fee (for the WG 11 meeting website management): 2,000 Yen<br>
The Facilities fee may be pre-paid by Visa or Mastercard.<br>
Alternatively, you may pay Japanese Yen (JPY) on site. Neither personal nor traveler's check is acceptable. </p>

<small><p><strong>[Cancellation Policies]</strong><br>
If cancellations are made on or before 2009-12-18, Facilities fee will be refunded. Please note that a handling charge of JPY 5,000 will be deducted prior to issuing the refund. All cancellations must be made via e-mail. Please send the cancellation notice to mpegkyoto_at_espalier.co.jp (pls change  "_at_ " to @). You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your cancellation. Cancellations made after 2009-12-18 as well as no-shows, are liable for the full Facilities fee.</p></small><br>

<p>The Facilities fee includes:<br>
 - meeting rooms with wireless Internet access, A/V equipment and power plugs<br>
 - two coffee breaks each day (at 10:30 and 15:30)<br>
